Overall indeed a very robust vibration plate. The 0-50 speed options make the 4U400 quite versatile as it can indeed be used for beginners as well as the advanced sports person. It comes down to individual preference whether you like the handlebars that are attached along side the machine. I personally prefer the handlebars attached to the main column of a Vibration Plate but many people really appreciate the design of the 4U 400. Our view: The 4U 400 is a good Vibration Plate for the home user and it will for sure get you results. Perhaps the motor could be a little bit more powerful but for the mid range price of this product there clearly has to be a little bit of a give and a take. The size of the platform is very reasonable and it took us only seconds to figure out how to operate the whole machine. The jury is still out on the integrated Body Fat sensor, perhaps it would have been a much better idea to use that feature to measure heart rate for example. Thumbs Up:   Very sturdy and well-built machine. Handlebar attachment sites might lend more support, especially to the novice. Smooth motor, start up comfortable, stopping is slow and controlled, not abrupt. 50 different speed levels allow for great exercise variations. Wheels at the back of the machine allow for great 'moveability'. Good online video exercise suggestions. Thumbs Down:   There is slight gap between platform and base of machine, so watch your fingers just a little. We don't believe the Body Fat sensors always give correct readings. Product assembly is a little difficult for just one person. The attached handlebars restrict lateral movement on and off the platform.
