And as it was a very powerful vibration plate the listeners certainly could not make out what I was talking about. Flabelos, a name that kind of sticks too. Flab ( the flab) e Los ( loose) = Loose the Flab. Lol. Anyway on a more serious note, this plate struck me immediately as a vibration plate that will serve the entire spectrum of potential users, from beginners to the much more advanced exerciser. The vibration is oscillating, meaning it moves from side to side. The effect of this type of vibration is to create an instability that your muscles will resist against and therefore get stronger and more toned. Increased strength and tone lead to other benefits like weight loss and higher energy levels due to increased metabolism. The platform of this vibration trainer is almost square, the column and handle bar are at a convenient height and overall it's a plate that is not overwhelming in its appearance. With that it does not take up too much space which can be a huge benefit. The console is clear and easy to operate, overall the plate has a touch of class even though it might not look super stylish but it's the quality that impressed me. The manufacturer is Sanyo who specialize in body care equipment and even supply the medical rehabilitation market, so one can assume that sufficient research has gone into the engineering of the different Flabelos plates. My view: read about my qualifications here Good vibration plate that will take a beginner right through to an advanced stage. I would have wished for the platform to be a little bit bigger and there are no attachment sites for resistance straps. But you get a feel of quality and durability when working on this plate and from a technical point of view it's well thought through and easy to operate. There are no pre-set programmes, all frequency and duration will be set manually which I personally don't have too much of a problem with as I prefer to individualize my workout anyway. However for some people this might be disappointing.
