Globus MY Power Vibration Trainer Review
Globus MY Power:
Star rating: 65%
Best Price: £970 from Vibration Fitness
A simplistic, yet very useful vibration plate. Its average price can be justified. The general look and design is not overly imposing.
The unit feels steady. It is very simple to use, as all settings will be chosen by you. You have 4 different vibration frequency options; varying from 30 Hz to 45 HZ but additionally you can in/ decrease the intensity of your personal workout by choosing 4 different speed settings. The 'Podium' or platform is rectangular and of reasonable dimension. As the machine has two separate motors it decreases the workload on each motor and with that raises the life expectancy of the Globus My Power Vibration Plate.
The vibration movement is vertical (up and down) and the displacement (intensity of vibration) figure of 0.5 to 0.75 mm means that this specific model is mainly designed with the home user in mind. The vibration will feel somewhat comfortable and won't come as a 'vibrating surprise to your system'.
Unfortunately the machine does not come with a lot of extras, just two upper body straps and a free contoured mat that sits on top of the platform and could also aid to lessen vibration. What is clearly missing in my view is the second control button for convenient start/ stop of the machine when you are performing seated exercises or push-ups (well...only if you wish..)
My view: read about my qualifications here
Globus is an Italian Sport and Medical Company that has primarily focussed its development to aid the professional rehabilitation and sports sector. Having researched the company in detail it has given me the confidence that these vibration trainers have undergone some in-depth trials and should therefore deliver 'what it says on the tin'.
I found the simplicity of this vibration plate quite appealing. Especially with the home user in mind. I do believe the machine has its limitations and might not be ideal for the more serious exerciser or semi professional sportsman or woman. Will it help you to tone up, increase your strength levels, increase circulation, and help you get into to shape? I believe it will.
