Yep, definitely more of a thumbs up machine. We have to say when the machine first got delivered to our office we thought we'd been sent the wrong model because the weight of the product in the box lead us to believe that this had to be a much more expensive type of Vibration Trainer.

Once we'd patiently assembled the whole machine we were impressed with the sturdiness and robustness of it. And without reading the instructions we were immediately able to figure out how to operate the machine, in other words you do not need a degree in technology to get started on it. To us that is always a plus, we like simplicity as long as it does not come at a price of functionality.

The Crazy Fit CF500 features a timer that basically counts down from 10 min, and the powerful 500 W motors delivers 50 individual intensity steps that you can manually increase or decrease whilst working out. It also has 3 pre set programme that are primarily designed to massage different parts of your body at different intensities.

The company does recommend that you should not use this VT for more than 10 minutes per day. We're sure this is partly linked to the high vibration intensity that can be achieved with this specific machine. Personally we're not too keen on the design of the handlebars, or grab handles, as they are called in the instructions. They are attached along side the machine and therefore make it impossible for the user to move sideways on and off the platform. However you could argue that it gives an added sense of security for others.

The plate movement is oscillating, in other words it moves up and down on alternating sides. This form of vibration creates an instability that you, the exerciser, are required to adjust to and by doing so you create greater strength throughout the entire body.

Our view:

We think you get a lot of machine for a low price. It's totally functional, easy to operate. Certainly a good product for the home exerciser and it will get you results. So if you're on a budget this is good value.

The size of the platform is very reasonable; it's covered with a non-slip rubber mat that feels quite comfortable even when we sit on it.

We do,however, question if the higher intensity levels might even be a little bit too high for some but then again the user has the option to change the intensity at any given time during the workout. The one thing that we suggest the manufacturer should not have bothered with is the integrated Body Fat sensor. Possible false readings are highly likely and some users may get unnecessarily upset about those.

Thumbs Up:

Very sturdy, balanced machine, no irregular vibration noticed
Motor is very powerful
Motor runs very smooth
User has 50 different speed levels in 1-step increments available
Easy to read console makes operation simple, push button design
Upper body straps supplied
Wheels at back of machine make it very movable
Very reliable delivery service
Good value for money
Machine has passed all CSA/UL & CE testing

Thumbs Down:

Body Fat Sensor does not always give true readings
Slight gap between platform surface and rest of machine, you would not want to get your finger into that whilst machine is operating.( However, in fairness warning label is applied and machine has passed all safety tests)
Handle bar attachment design restricts sideward movement on and off the platform
Assembly is a little difficult for one person only
Supplied exercise guide is poor
